Sir Stephen Hough's "Missa Mirabilis" (Westmimster Cathedral Choir Commissions - A Postscript)

I have just now become aware of another Mass written for Westminster Cathedral Choir - Sir Stephen Hough's "Missa Mirabilis" (2007) for choir & organ - commissioned by Martin Baker in 2006. It is so-named because Sir Stephen - the celebrated pianist, composer & author - miraculously survived a serious high-speed car crash in the midst of composing the Mass (the partially-completed score was with in the car with him as it rolled at 80mph on the M1 - presumably at the London end as he completed the Mass while recovering at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington). One of the articles above suggests that the Mass received its "debut" at Lichfield Cathedral at the Sunday Eucharist in May 2013. Perhaps the dates are not accurate. In any event, we have a music list from Westminster Cathedral showing it was sung (shorn of the Credo) at the Mass of Corpus Christi in June 2007:

I haven't studied the music lists in detail since then, but I do not recall hearing the Mass often. Which is odd, as it's a fantastic composition. Apart from the above-pictured recording (2023), it seems to have been recorded only once before, by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Chorus (in an orchestral arrangement commissioned by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra):

But never by Westminster Cathedral, nor any other choirs with trebles. A gap in the market!
